Carlsbad, Beach Contemporary

This backyard is situated on a steep, rocky slope with panoramic ocean views. When I first met with the client, the yard was almost unusable and had very little flat space. The goal was to create spaces in the yard and pool that had enough room to accommodate lots of family and friends. The final design has 4 decks, 2 with fire pits, 1 with a hot tub with views of the sunset, 1 for daytime seating and a secrete deck below for the kids to play. It also has an outdoor kitchen, water feature on the slope, seating below a waterproof deck, built-in wood seating with storage below and a fun pool.
